Lisa Blecker, Coordinator of the Pesticide Safety Education Program, will talk about all the important information you can find on pesticide labels to ensure the safety of pesticide handlers, other employees, and bystanders. Topics include restricted entry intervals (REI), personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, early-entry requirements, interpreting pesticide rates, application intervals, and plant-back restrictions. This information is critical for employers and supervisors to ensure compliance, and for applicators to understand how to protect themselves.
