Have you wondered what to do in your backyard and garden to maintain/improve the quality of our water, to lower the carbon-footprint of your household and to improve the health of planet Earth? You can learn some easy and practical ways to make your landscape sustainable from Master Gardener Experts who are trained to help you create a healthier garden and yard.
This training will cover topics from enticing wildlife into your garden to reducing use of water soluble fertilizers and pesticides while still having a cornucopia of home grown produce and a beautiful landscape. Creating Edible landscaping, soil nutrition and water conservation ideas will also be discussed. Master Gardeners will teach you how strategically placing trees in your garden can reduce heating/cooling costs inside and reduce energy use by limiting overuse of gas-powered tools. Landscaping for less landfill can enhance your garden design and make you feel good about reducing your contribution to landfills. You’ll be happy to learn how easy it can be to be a better caretaker of our world.
